| NPGHS continue to go from strength to strength, defeating Villa Maria College 3-1 to go through to the semi-finals of the Marie Fry Tournament in Christchurch, where they will play either Kristin School from Albany, or Western Heights High School from Rotorua.
NPBHS again failed to make an impression on the scoreboard in Wellington at Rankin Cup going down 3-0 to Burnside High School from Christchurch.
At the Johnson Cup in Hamilton, NPBHS 2nd XI were unlucky to lose on strokes to Rotorua BHS after being locked together 1-1 at full-time. NPBHS had two goals disallowed from penalty corners in regulation time. At the same tournament Stratford HS went down to PNBHS 6-1.
At the Olympic Stick Tournament in Tauranga, FDMC also went to strokes against Rotorua Lakes HS after the full-time score was 2-2 and won the penalty strokes 4-3. In Taupo, St Marys Diocesan College from Stratford their second win, beating Te Kura Kaupapa O Ruamata 3-1.
At the Mixed Tournament in Stratford, Opunake HS defeated Putararu College 7-0, but went down to Pompallier College later in the day, 3-0. Orewa College were too good for Henderson HS`winning 7-3, while Hawera HS defeated Waitara 4-1. The best Taranaki result of the day was an 8-0 drubbing of Taumaranui HS by Spotswood College. | Back to news |
