U18 Girls Opening Quad Report

The Taranaki Under 18 Women played their first representative games in the weekend. Traveling to Palmerston North, Taranaki played Wanganui, Wellington “B”, and Manawatu. Recording three wins out of three games was the best start the team could ask for, especially considering that at Taranakis' request the opposition teams were bolstered by invite players to give harder games. Senior players Racheal Landers, Vallisa Armstrong, and Nyssa Edgecombe lead from the front with some outstanding work, while new team members Jayne Gulliver in goal and Shinea Bayle showed they are more than capable of stepping up to under 18 level.
